Hogna lenta - This is the same spider as in the above photo. After finally coaxing the spider out of her burrow, the she sought refuge among the dense blades of mondo grass. Here, you can clearly see her egg sac attached to her abdomen.

Hogna lenta - This is a side-view of the same spider as in the above photo. Although the egg sac apparently detached, any time the spider started moving, she tucked at least two of her legs under the egg sac to carry it with her, beneath her elevated body.
